Mayra Yachts build 46m sailing yacht
A brand new forty-six meter classic yacht is to be made by Turkish yacht brand Mayra Yachts following a deal signed back in August this year. According to reports, the 45.5m long yacht is being made for a Russian client and is anticipated to be all set for delivery in the year 2017. The wooden hull of the yacht has already been made with epoxy through a cold moulded process.
Along with this, recently Mayra Yachts went to the Monaco Yacht Show recently where they exhibited their fifty meter superyacht Euphoria that is presently at the yard, ahead of a summer as an Greek Island Bareboat charter. Mayra Yachts reports that they are looking ahead to going to the show again next year along with the completed vessel.
Meanwhile, Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko’s Sailing Yacht A is something to look at. But people must not confuse this with his 394-foot Motor Yacht A. This one is 438 feet in length and 300 feet tall and it weighs 14224 metric tons. This huge vessel has a black-glass-panel touchscreen for operation purpose. A huge single piece of glass, one of the biggest ever made, was made for the keel. There are 8 decks, along with a helipad. It also possesses an underwater observation room as a mobile aquarium has become synonymous with mega yachts. The vessel has cost Andrey Melnichenko around $400 million.
Speaking to Daily Mail, MatrixLloyd’s Benjamin Maltby said that not since the days of mighty clipper sailing ships such as the Cutty Sark has such a large sailing vessel been built. Sailing Yacht A, built by Nobiskrug, has recently set its first sail for trial in the sea.
